Manzanar Gallery

Introductions

Welcome to the Manzanar Gallery. Here you will find photos few have seen from the time of the Japanese Nationals internment. Thousands of Japanese were “evacuated” out to the Manzanar camp, and kept there for the duration of the war. What few do not know is that 10,000 German Nationals were also interned up in the Dakotas. Three thousand Italians had the same experience. Consider yourself lucky that you were not rounded up once again every time a gay, Muslim, or some other group member made a terrorist comment or threat. This despite living in an America where it’s apparently okay to go shopping with a brick while wearing a hoodie. And to shoot someone who tells you to stop spray painting graffiti on a wall.
