About Relics

We are unlocking the past and shaping the future. Valuing history, cherishing it, and keeping it compact are things we treasure. The stories and struggles of those who came before us and have seen it all.

What Drives Us Forward?

We want everyone to witness history because relics are more than just objects, historical evidence, preserves, or remains of the past. All the endured injustice, the atrocities of slavery, and victories won hold a significant place in history. We should all know the untold stories about every era that holds memories of historical periods.

The world shaped into the form we see now has had moments that connect the fabric of previous events. We are more than collectors; at Relics Matter, we tend to do storytelling and reveal facts as truth-seekers. In this mission, the Juneteenth Educational Technology Mobile Arts Center has partnered with us to bring history to life. We collaborate to put out the stories that have been silenced and overlooked internationally.

All the deep-rooted matters and injustice in America caused by racism shaped the lives of individuals who have been oppressed and fought for justice with all their might. History must remember them and not forgotten by the people.

What are Relics?

To keep the history alive, relics are preserved in multiple forms to be discovered and shed light on the events and matters that were silenced in the country. This work is done by institutions, descendants, and historians. It is the symbol of dedication, which reflects the thinking of keeping reality for the coming generations and never letting the voices stop from raising against injustice and immoral practices.

The relics carry stories of their own and come in multiple forms. At Relics Matter, we want to preserve everything, believe that history should never fade, the truth must always prevail, and understand the past to recognize the present. The forms include:

  • Historical documents
  • Testimonials and first-hand accounts
  • Newspaper and posters
  • Photography and artifacts
